Interior Design

Everyone needs a hobby to get their mind off of the day-to-day, especially as a nursing student.  Mine is interior design.  This page will be filled with images that inspire me and make me want to decorate, cook, or better my home in any way.

Enjoy!

This countertop-cabinet combination is yummy.  I'm also digging the sink and the floors. (11/19/10)

The natural feel of this room reminds me of Frank Lloyd Wright, the craftsman era, and all things au naturale. The posters seem to define the space. Gorgeous. (10/20/10)

I love the open air feel that this room has.  I would love to have such a relaxing room for my family to eat in.  It's also great how the light fixtures tie the dining room and sunken family room together.  I'm also a big fan of wide plank wood floors. So, to summarize, love it.  (9/30/10)

Pantone Fall & Winter Palette, 2010  (9/21/10)

This home is gorgeous. The kitchen has a sliding wall of windows.  I LOVE it. I do wonder though, what are the energy bills like with these? The bedroom is so cozy and crisp - I love how neutrals draw attention to texture. (9/21/10)

I want to crawl into this picture to read a book...
I have arranged my bookshelves this way - making your home is all in the details.
Something as simple as arranging books in ROYGBIV can create a sense of calm and order, with a twist of whimsy.

Texture, texture, texture.

Bold statement pendant light.
This little nook makes me want to curl up and read.
Plus, I am a sucker for old glass bottles.

I love how this mirror, and the
bold grey, accentuate the moldings.
I love how texture makes a monochromatic
room come alive!
Clearly, I have a thing for black drum shades
:)

Breezy.
